7. The Creation of the Iconic Split: Contrary to popular belief, the iconic split in Caye Caulker’s landscape was not the result of Hurricane Hattie. While a stream always existed, It was in fact intentionally dug out in order to allow the fishermen to pass through instead of having to travel all the way around the island to get to the back.

9. Northside Caye Caulker’s Development: Northside Caye Caulker’s first commercial development was Koko King, a beach resort, and the first actual Condo Development was Blu Zen. These two businesses have been the trailblazers for development on North Side Caye Caulker. They took a risk establishing themselves where very few (if any) tourists and locals ventured, and that risk has certainly paid off. The Northside of Caye Caulker has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, thanks to landmark developments like Koko King and Blu Zen.
